“Born, raised, graduated and still reside in Kaufman County, 28 years to be exact. I’ve seen this county go from barely being on the map to making the news and currently standing as one of the top growing counties in North Texas. The county as a whole is rather flabberghasting because if you end up on ones “bad” side there is nothing but black/white perspectives, absolutely no common ground whatsoever. The court system is full of corruption no matter which precinct or judge. Once you deal with any of the cities or county police department- they wont forget you- which leads to harassment and profiling. The county is attempting to stay in line with its neighboring counties (ex. Dallas, Rockwall) however Kaufman stood out so long as to not being one of those counties. Crime rate has risen drastically especially since Dallas Section 8 housing was approved in certain areas. Kaufman county is all about WHO you know and how crooked/sly you can be otherwise you have no say so in this county.” Resident of Kaufman County, Texas

“Kaufman Texas is a good ol boy town. A majority of the police are crooked and just pull over the same people over and over because they’re too lazy to actually investigate other crimes. They are even rude to old ladies as I witnessed. They are rude to everyone they pull over. Even a prior officer of 8 years says they are crooked even the Chief. More low level crime arrests happen here than other comparable towns. Forget to use your blinker they pull you over, motorcycles and cars racing down Washington get left alone. It’s a town full of beer stores, racism and crooked city officials whose favorite game is revenge. Don’t move here!” Current resident
“Be warned. Kaufman is full of backwoods, racist intolerant narrow-minded morons. The town is disgusting.” Current resident
“I LOVE THAT KAUFMAN IS LOCATED IN THE COUNTRY. HOWEVER, THERE ARE TOO MANY COPS IN THE AREA THAT SEEM TO BE TOO ANXIOUS TO PULL SOME ONE OVER JUST BECAUSE OF AN UNSUSPECTED CAR THEY MIGHT NOTICE.” Kaufman resident
